Georgianna has been a Director for Victoria with ARRA since November 2009. She also manages City Central Motor Inn and Apartments in Warrnambool. She brings 20 years experience in the motel industry and 22 years in local government to the table. She has been a member of the Warrnambool Tourism Association for 18 years, a board member and member of the governance board at Shipwreck Coast Tourism for 6 years, and was a board member of HMAAV from 1994 to 2008.
Steve has been ARRA’s Director for South Australia since November 2004. He also manages Travelway Motel in Port Pirie and has done so since 1990. Steve is a qualified motor mechanic and spent 3 years in the Army Reserves before joining the regular army in 1972 where he trained as a cook. He was based with the 3RAR for 6 years before moving to Port Pirie in 1981 to manage the motel. He is a board member of the inaugural Port Pirie Tourist Association and has been a board member for the Chamber of Commerce for 20 years.
William has been a Director for New South Wales with ARRA since November 2011. He has also managed the Station Hotel Motel in Kurri Kurri since 2001. Billy (as he is affectionately known) spent 31 years as a team leader at a local aluminium smelter before leasing a pub in Stroud. Four years ago, he and his wife decided to take a risk and built a motel adjacent to their hotel. Billy has held the position of Rotary President for the last 2 years, is an active member of APEX and a volunteer fireman. He currently holds a delegate position with the AHA.
Jock has been ARRA’s Director for Queensland since May 2005. He has also managed the Myall Hotel in Dalby since 1997. Jock spent 26 hours in the banking industry before deciding to purchase the hotel. He has also been the Chairman of the Dalby Chamber of Commerce Tourism Committee since 1998.
Alan has been a Director for New South Wales with ARRA since November 2013. He has also managed the Daydream Motel in Broken Hill for the last 26 years. Before getting into the motel industry, Alan spent around 15 years working for the government. He is also President of the Rotary Club of Victor Harbor.
Tony has been ARRA’s general manager since May 2013, when he joined the Budget Motel Chain. He also manages the Cape Schanck Lighthouse, which is located in Cape Schanck on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. He holds a Diploma of Business Studies Past (CPA). Tony has previously owned the Lamplighter Motel and Apartments (from 1989 to 2009) and was the general manager at Wilton Hotels from 1984 to 1988. He has been a member of Rotary for 36 years and is also a past President.
